Picasso

All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.

- Pablo Picasso

If only we could focus on encouraging children to do things their own way and just appreciate their ideas instead of forcing them into what is acceptable.

Color Me Surprised.....

Series 0002 Bisbee Part 2

To say that I love the outdoors would be a massive understatement. I am totally fascinated with it on so many levels. There is so much beauty and seemingly endless variety. It is majestic and breathtaking.
I love camping outdoors, hiking outdoors, walking outdoors, dining outdoors and just sitting outdoors. When I am inside I love to look through the windows at the outdoors. I take photographs to try and capture the magic that I find.

I was attempting to get control of years of these digital photographs, sorting through the madness and the mess and opened a few that I did not expect. I really liked them! Color me surprised!

I am going to release a few of these in my gallery very soon. My goal is not to become an aspiring photographer but I would love to share an occasional series.

Primary Colors.....

The recession has certainly impacted so many lives, including myself, my family and friends. It has been necessary to make drastic changes in order to survive in this type of economy. Although tragic and heartbreaking it does have a positive side.

It has caused us to open our minds and change our quality of life. We have all been forced to be creative with our lifestyles. By getting back to the basics, forgotten arts are now resurfacing. We are rediscovering gardening to cut down on grocery bills, cooking delicious dinners at home instead of dining out, canning and preserving, handcrafting or baking for gifts holidays. What creative changes have you made to make a difference in your life?

It is wonderful to experience and see an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. I fondly refer to them as Primary Colors. They may be few but they are pure and intense.
